Why Join the Computer Club?
With our own office and all the resources in it, our greatest resource still remains our people. After almost 50 years at WMU, we’ve had hundreds of great members now off doing remarkable things at places like Google, Apple, LinkedIn, IBM, TI, Socket, and the DoD.
If you’re even a little interested in security, programming, hardware, electronics, or you’re just a bit geeky, then chances are you’ll click with us.

How to Join
Attend a Meeting
Come to any Thursday meeting at 6:00 PM in 2225 Kohrman Hall.
Pay Dues
Annual membership is $10. Bring cash to any meeting, or use paypal.me/cclub.

We'll help you set up chat access and add you to our systems.

Workshops
Hands-on learning sessions covering programming languages, dev tools, and random tech.
Projects
Work on awesome projects with fellow members, from robots and talking fish to vintage computers.

Network with your peers and alumni working in big tech and attend industry alumni events.
Hardware
Use club equipment including servers, 3D printers, tools, and testing equipment.
Competitions
Participate in game jams, hackathons, and cybersecurity competitions.
Development
Resume reviews, interview preparation, and career guidance from people who've been here too long.
Snacks
We stock the drink fridge and the shelves with cheap snacks. Bring a dollar or two.
Fast Internet
The room has its own LAN with gigabit ethernet at every desk. Pull a big ISO, run a build, or host a LAN party without touching campus Wi-Fi.

What is really offered by cclub cannot be summarized by this or any list. When I joined I had pretty low expectations, and having been involved I can say easily, and honestly, that this is the best thing that I’ve been involved with since I came to WMU. The rate at which I learned by being surrounded by engaged, knowledgeable peers is incomparable to anything I’ve experienced in any of my classes and I often hear the same from my peers.
